C. WOODROW "WOODY" BROWNE
C. Woodrow "Woody" Browne is the founder and president of Building Q, a leading licensing and marketing consulting firm located in Voorhees, NJ. Established in 1992, Building Q represents manufacturers and marketers of consumer products and packaged goods.
Mr. Browne is a three-term past President of the Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association (LIMA) and has served on the Board of Directors. During his terms as President of LIMA, Mr. Browne helped steer the 10-year old organization out of financial hardship, revamp the industry award program and upgrade the associations presence at both Toy Fair and the Licensing Show.
Mr. Browne graduated from Kent State University in 1976, and earned an M.B.A in Marketing from the same institution in 1977. From 1979-1983 he was manager of the lunch-kit business at the Thermos Company. As the person responsible for all of their licensing activity, it was here that Mr. Browne gained his reputation for picking winners. From 1983-1985 he was the Director of Marketing and was promoted to Vice President a year later. At Tyco he was responsible for such toy successes as Disneys "The Little Mermaid", Oopsie-Daisy, Dino-Riders, Spy-Tech, and My Pretty Ballerina.
Mr. Browne lives in Indian Mills, New Jersey with his wife Becky and their three children Allison, Powell, and Amanda. He is a 1995 Ironman World Championship Triathlon finisher. |
